These terms govern your use of this Doorkeeper visitor management system as a visitor, authorized staff member, or administrator.

1. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:
- Provide false identifying information when checking in
- Use the system to gain access to areas you are not authorized to enter
- Attempt to disable, circumvent, or interfere with the system's security or auditing
- Access another person's records, except in your role as an authorized administrator
- Attempt to extract or scrape data through the API or kiosk interfaces beyond what's necessary for your role

2. AUTHORIZED-STAFF ACCOUNTS

If your organization has provisioned you an account:
- Keep your credentials confidential and do not share them
- Sign out from shared kiosks when you are done
- Enable two-factor authentication if your role requires it
- Report any suspected account compromise to your administrator immediately

3. DATA YOU CONTRIBUTE

When you check in or upload a photo you grant your organization a license to retain and use that information for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. The license expires when the underlying record is deleted.

4. NO WARRANTY

This system is provided as-is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose beyond the visitor-management workflow it is designed for.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, your organization and the Doorkeeper operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the system.

6. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

7. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operating organization is established, unless another body of law is specified by the operator in writing.

This is the default template shipped with Doorkeeper. The operating organization may publish its own terms at any time, which will replace this text.
